Business Intelligence Practice Leader
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and expert consultation on the design, development, and implementation of process and programs related to the BI Practice.
- Responsible for setting priorities for strategically focused areas, identifying opportunities for improvement, and advising on specific areas of expertise.
- Ensures that client and organizational needs are consistently met.
- Supervises and develops staff.
- Demonstrates innovation as it relates to business development and sales strategies for practice growth in a solutions setting.
Required Skills
- Current experience in the BI/DW space.
- 5+ years leading & managing a practice.
- 10+ years in overall work experience specific to consulting/professional services.
- Repeated experience in the full life-cycle delivery of complex BI/DW projects.
- Strong over all data warehousing knowledge including, but not limited to requirements gathering, data modeling and solutions delivery.
- Strong knowledge of BI/DW architecture, including the suite of BI & ETL tool-set.
- Strong ETL experience (Informatica, Ascential, AbInitio, PL/SQL).
- Strong front-end development experience such as Business Objects, Hyperion, Microstrategy, Cognos, etc.
- Must be able to act as a liaison between functional end-users and technical teams.
- Ability to stay on top of current trends and advancements in the BI/DW space.
Additional Positions
Data Architect
5+ years experience as a Data Architect assisting in the implementation of Enterprise Architecture; implement, distribute and govern standards for Data Distribution Layer, Enterprise Messaging Models and other such middleware technology based solutions. Work with ETL, Business Intelligence Tools, and Messaging Standards.
Business Process Analyst
5+ years as a Business Process Analyst; requirements gathering, analytical and problem solving skills are essential, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Business analysis experience is preferred, as well as knowledge of translating business requirements to high level systems specifications. Knowledge of use process modeling methods is a huge plus.
Senior .Net Developer
7+ years coding .net in a full life-cycle development environment; ideal candidates will have SQL Server back-end experience as well as exposure to Microsoft's .Net Development Platform. Additional desired skills include VB.Net, C# and/or C++, Visual Studio 2008
Data Integrator - Business Objects
3+ years of Business Objects Data Integrator experience using Data Integrator to perform extraction, transformation and loading of data warehouse and data marts required. Decipher business rules to implement, test, debug and document data integrator batch jobs and real-time jobs to extract data from a variety of data sources. Deep experience with ETL, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL required.
Dashboard/Scorecard Analyst
This role will be responsible for working with the Business Intelligence team to deliver complex reports and dashboards using Crystal Reports, and Business Objects tools. The ideal candidate will have broad understanding of reporting technologies, including report delivery methodologies, analytic modeling, and data visualizations for KPIs, scorecards, and process flows.
